Cariad Cakes

Cariad Cakes unique range of award-winning vegetarian cakes are completely handmade in the beautiful medieval market town of Ludlow, Shropshire. They are free from artificial additives and preservatives, and are all ideal for freezing. They only the finest locally sourced ingredients where available, with specially developed cakes for specialist diets including dairy free, gluten free, wheat free and sugar free.

The company was set up by local husband and wife team Kay and David Fletcher in 2002 who have over 30 years combined experience in vegetarianism and adhering to our own strict ingredients criteria. Cariad Cakes can guarantee its entire range is cruelty free and animal friendly.

The strong ethical stance of the company and the desire to use only the best locally sourced ingredients ensures that all cakes are 100% vegetarian friendly, with an ever increasing range that already includes Shropshire Raspberry & Honey, Ludlow Honey Biscuits, Zingy Lemon Madeira and Chocolate Heaven.

Cariad Cakes has since won several international Great Taste awards presented by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers. Their Shropshire Hills Cake, White Fruit Cake and Raspberry & Honey Cake are all award winners.
